KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS PROJECT

The Charlestown Neighborhood Council voted in favor of a two-winged (7 and 5 story) building to replace the Knights of Columbus on West School Street. The meeting was held Monday September 24th at the Knights of Columbus building on West School Street. There was a strong showing of support for both sides, particularly in favor of the project. Proponents spoke vehemently on the benefits of allowing the Knights of Columbus to exist and sited all the positive actions the K of C has performed in and for Charlestown. Opponents sited concern over the scope and height of the project. The Neighborhood Council Committee voted in favor of the project 6 to 4.
